Epoxy stair nose caulk is recommended for all stair tread installations. Nose caulk is necessary when installing Adjusta-Nose treads or when the step nosing is broken, worn, or rounded. This two-part epoxy caulk will fill voids at the nose of the step and give needed support underneath the stair tread nose. Nose caulk can also be used to repair the top surface of the step. Available in two-part mixture quart (mixing instructions on label) or in a dual cartridge for use in standard or deluxe dispensers. Quart unit yields approximately 75 ft of 1/4" bead. PLEASE NOTE: ADHESIVE IS NOT RETURNABLE

Epoxy Stair Caulk is recommended for all wooden, metal and concrete stairs to provide support for rubber or vinyl stair treads. It is particularly useful if stairs are badly worn or irregularly shaped so that they will not support the stair nosing.
The surfaces on which this material is used must be clean, dry and free from paint, efflorescence or concrete curing compounds. Epoxy Stair Caulk consists of two parts which are labeled part 'A' and part 'B'. After opening the containers for removal, add part 'A' to part 'B' and mix THOROUGHLY. Continue to mix for three to five minutes after a uniform color, with no streaks, is obtained. ADHESIVE WILL NOT CURE IF NOT THOROUGHLY MIXED.
For the best handling, the stair treads and this epoxy caulking compound should be at normal room temperature of approximately 70-80 ⁰ F.
With trowel or spatula apply sufficient Epoxy Stair Caulk to the inside of the tread nosing to fill any section of the stairs which do not fully conform to the contour of the treads.
Any access adhesive on the surface of the treads or surrounding area should be removed immediately with a cloth dampened with denatured alcohol. Adhesive cannot be removed if set. Traffic should not be permitted on the stairs until adhesive has set up, normally 24 hours.
